JET Hospitality
Fractional CTO — Full Technology Leadership
The Challenge
JET Hospitality operates 10 glamping and boutique hotel properties across the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain West. They needed a technology leader who could build — not just advise.
The problems: a fragmented SaaS stack costing thousands monthly (Zapier, Mailchimp, Asana, LastPass), no CRM at all, no unified infrastructure, no security posture, no observability into business metrics, and technology decisions driven by individual property managers rather than strategy.
What I Built
- Custom CRM (JET CRM): Built from scratch as their first CRM. Django 5.1, HTMX, Tailwind, PostgreSQL, Celery/Redis. Lead management, Kanban pipeline, email campaigns, guest profiles, ATS, ticketing, and LinkedIn content automation — all in one tool.
- AWS Infrastructure: EC2, Lightsail, SES environment supporting 3 production websites with high-availability architecture
- 3 Production Websites: jethospitality.com, invest.jethospitality.com, growthfund.jethospitality.com — each with custom WordPress plugins for investment management, newsletter automation, and membership activation
- Sales Intelligence: Python web scraping tools generating qualified lead lists and monitoring competitor pricing across the market
- Security: Company-wide Passbolt + GPG secrets management with least-privilege access policy — enterprise-grade security built from the ground up
- Observability: Prometheus + Grafana dashboards tracking infrastructure metrics and business KPIs (booking volume, revenue, ad performance) in unified views
- API Integrations: Python integrations with third-party booking and inventory APIs automating revenue-generating workflows
The Result
$50K+ annual savings by replacing 5+ SaaS tools with self-hosted alternatives. 99.99% uptime across all properties. Unified business intelligence dashboards. Enterprise-grade security from scratch. A technology roadmap aligned with executive growth strategy.
